When Traton Homes celebrated its 46th anniversary as one of greater Atlanta’s top residential builders earlier this year, Clif Poston, Executive Vice President of Traton Homes announced the launch of three brand-new Atlanta-area communities later in 2017: North Square and The Registry at Marietta Square, both in Marietta, and Woodland Parc in Smyrna.

Opening Soon at North Square

North Square is an architecturally planned community of 90 two- and three-story townhomes with two-car garages, a pool, cabana and open space. The vibrant community is conveniently located around the corner from the Wellstar Kennestone Hospital District in Marietta, close to Marietta Square as well as Kennesaw Mountain Park, with easy access to I-75. Homes will be priced from the high $200,000s.

The spacious low-maintenance townhomes, each with 3 bedrooms and 2.5 baths, feature open living areas, an upstairs laundry room, and welcoming island kitchens with granite countertops and a Whirlpool stainless steel appliance package.

“If you’d like to learn more about this exceptional new community in Marietta, convenient to the Wellstar Kennestone Hospital area as well as the area’s top restaurants, schools and shopping, register for our VIP list now,” says Kimberly Garwood, Director of Marketing with Traton Homes. “We are excited to begin accepting pre-sales for North Square very soon and we know these homes in this location will sell quickly!”

Coming Soon

In addition to North Square, Traton Homes will soon launch The Registry At Marietta Square, a collection of beautiful 3-story townhomes on Cherokee Street near the historic center of Marietta; and Woodland Parc, which will offer a total of 48 two- and three-story townhomes in Smyrna, within walking distance from the Battery at Suntrust Park.

At a recent event to celebrate its 46th anniversary with distinguished guests and top producing Atlanta-area REALTORS®, Traton Homes, Cobb County’s premier new home builder, reflected on the company’s past decades of success – and focused on many new opportunities ahead.

“We built just five homes in our first year when we started Traton Homes almost half a century ago,” says Bill Poston, who co-founded Traton Homes with his brother, Milburn Poston, in 1971. “Since then, we have completed nearly ten thousand single family homes and townhomes, mainly throughout the greater Atlanta area.”

Traton has successfully weathered a number of volatile periods in the homebuilding industry, and has proven its ability to stand the test of time through judicious management – and a strong belief in the ‘golden rule.’

“This has always been a family-run business, and we treat our homebuyers, our employees and our suppliers like family – the way we want to be treated,” says Milburn Poston.

“From a management point of view, our company’s hallmark is its relative conservatism,” notes Bill. “Our risk tolerance level ensured we carefully managed our growth – which allowed us to navigate through the tough times. Thanks to our outstanding team of long-term employees, and thanks to our loyal and continuously growing family of homeowners, we continue to be very optimistic about Traton’s future.”

Over the years, Traton’s business model has evolved. In addition to building homes, Traton also develops parcels throughout a number of metro Atlanta counties. Traton plans to open three additional communities this year in its home county of Cobb including a new townhome community near Marietta Square.

Georgia State Senator Lindsey Tippins and Cobb County Manager Rob Hosack were among Traton’s guests at the Marietta Country Club. In addition, U.S. Senator Johnny Isakson, who, like the Poston family, has played a major role in Cobb County’s stunning growth, congratulated Traton on 46 years of homebuilding excellence in a personal letter stating: “This is a wonderful milestone for Traton Homes, which has set the standard for excellence, and I appreciate your leadership in the building industry.”

“Each Traton home exemplifies our legacy of sound construction, superior service and outstanding value,” says Clif Poston, Traton’s Executive Vice President. “While we are focusing a bright future, that legacy is one thing that will not change. That is our promise, now and when our company meets the half-century mark.”
