Carving a pumpkin can be messy, but that is half the fun! When removing the seeds and stringy flesh, use a large spoon or ice cream scooper to speed up the process and keep your hands cleaner. Using a template or drawing on the pumpkin with a water-based marker beforehand will help ensure you get the design you are wanting. As you carve your pumpkin, gently push the carved pieces into the pumpkin. That way they’re easier to grab and you don’t mess up the design.
